Launch Date Pushed to July 17 for a Good Reason!
We've moved our opening ahead to Thursday, July 17, to allow us an unanticipated family celebration. On the Saturday before our opening (smack in the middle of our originally planned opening weekend), if you are able, go check out the Pleasantville Music Festival. Local band Cabin Fever won a slot on the main stage at the Festival's annual battle of the bands and we are going to cheer them on! The band's drummer, John, is Sparkle owner Donna's youngest son and Sparkle manager Armand's brother. It's their first big gig and we couldn't be prouder or more excited!
Read 25 Day in June
On Wednesday, June 25, we will host our first in-person event. Read 25 will be on Wednesday, June 25. Podcaster Gretchen Rubin is partnering with Bookshop.org in a fun challenge to read in community for 25 minutes ... or for as long as you like. Please join us in the side yard at 642 Main Street, weather permitting, and hang out to discuss the books you've read. Perhaps we'll be able to offer a sneak peek inside the store too. We will have used and discounted books available to borrow or purchase, or you can bring your own. And come back as often as you can to continue to meet the Read25 challenge throughout the year!
