Huge congratulations to Sparkle friend, memoirist extraordinaire, and award-winning author Lorraine Ash for her short memoir "Echoes of Summit Avenue," which appears in the collection 2026 Next Generation Short Story Awards Anthology of Winners. The story captures the cases, the drama, and the lessons in archetypal living she learned as a teen working in her late father’s law office. "Echoes" preserves her father’s remarkable spirit and the gritty, colorful Hudson County, New Jersey, landscape of the 1970s, now lost to the ether of time.
Lorraine Ash is the author of two memoirs, Life Touches Life: A Mother's Story of Stillbirth and Healing and Self and Soul: On Creating a Meaningful Life. Most recently, she edited the award-winning Corona City: Voices from an Epicenter, an anthology of first-person writings that chronicles life in New Jersey and New York when these two states were the nation's first COVID-19 epicenter. Lorraine lives in New Jersey.
